The lakes are true jewels of the Baltic’s natural treasury. All three Baltic countries teem of lakes known for their scenic beauty and ecological diversity. For those who would like to spend their summer by the Baltic lakes we’ve designed a route off-the-beaten-track, that will take you to the most significant and beautiful lakes of the Baltics.

During your trip you will see the largest lakes of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania, the 5-th largest lake in Europe, the deepest lake of Estonia, the lake with the longest shoreline in Lithuania, lakes created by melted waters of glaciers 12 000 and 18 000 years ago, lake shaped like Lithuania, a lake that becomes the venue for the annual concert and a lake that became the setting of HBO series.

To fully experience the lake vibe, we offer the opportunity of accommodation on the lake in historic boathouses with a private boat. In addition, we recommend lakeside hiking routes from 3 to 5 km long. Don’t forget to take comfortable shoes and appropriate clothes with you!

Especially for fishing enthusiasts we give tips about fishing spots, licenses and types of fish found in the lakes. And of course, there is no lake vacation without a beach! Well-equipped public beaches and picturesque lakeside swimming places are also listed in our lake guidebook.
