UNESCO World Heritage Site of outstanding universal value with landscapes of unspeakable beauty. High sandy dunes located on the thin, 4 km wide peninsula between the Baltic Sea and the Curonian lagoon strikes on the spot and remain in memory for a lifetime.
Standing on the top of the 52-meter-high dune of quartz sand with two seas lapping at your feet will take your breath away and make you feel like you’ve teleported to another planet. Curonian Spit is a destination that should definitely be added to your bucket list!
In the National Park you can also get acquainted with unique cultural landscape of the Curonian Spit, get to know, who the ‘’Kursenieki’’ are, see traditional fisherman villages, ancient wooden houses, lighthouses, churches, villas and cemeteries.
